(Baonghean.vn) - Street workout has been preferred by the youth of Nghe An because of its inexpensive requirements, flexibility in schedule and practicing space, and efficiency in building muscles.

Nguyen Dinh Khoa (born in 1996) is considered to be the one who brought street workout to the youth of Nghe An. He said “A few years ago, I had often trained myself in gym centers to improve health, fitness and enhance my muscles. However, these centers gave me the sense of limitation in space and timetable which was not suitable to my extrovert personality. When surfing the internet and accidently running into street workout videos, I decided to engage in street workout since then.”

The use of single and double cross bars mainly focuses on building muscles of upper body.

According to Khoa, street workout is liberal and convenient just as its name. It requires only one single and one double crossbar at the cost of hundreds to one million VND; or just a random solid horizontal bar also works. The space to train is also free of choice: terrace, gardens, parks, squares, etc.

The most specific advantage of street workout is that without carrying dumb-bell, one can still get an ideal body, even better flexibility because instead of dumb-bell, they must use their own weight. But the tendency of street workout is to build up the upper part of the body.

In Vietnam, street workout has become more popular for 2 years, and with the same trend, in Vinh city, the number of street workout groups has increased unstoppably. Street workout is divided mainly into two specialties: to perform and to build muscle. Either of the two specialties, trainers should have appropriate diets in order to get their desirable results.

At the moment, street workout groups in Nghe An often open competitions to encourage the creativity for new skills, techniques to achieve proper fitness. More than that, these competitions might help to strengthen the spirit as well as to establish a healthy friendship among youth.
